May 2010
Hello valued advertisers, old and new! Welcome to the next edition of the Support a WAHP Advertiser Newsletter. Most of the content in this newsletter is from the first one but has been updated for this month.
Wow, what a whirlwind few months it’s been since Support a WAHP began! We’ve only been operating for just over 3 months and already have a whopping 3,000+ fans for our Facebook page! I’ve noticed a dramatic increase in visits to the website as well which is where your advertisement is located so that’s great news for you! I’m always coming up with ideas for people to keep visiting the website so hopefully you’re benefitting from that. I’d love to know how your advertising is going for you. Have you secured any orders from our website or Facebook page? Let me know. J

DIRECTORY LISTINGS
In April we migrated over to a newer directory and some listings didn’t come across so if you have added your business details to the directory and don’t see them there now, just resubmit your listing and I will approve it. As a valued advertiser, you are entitled to a ‘Featured Listing’ in the Support a WAHP Directory but I don’t automatically add your listing to the directory, you’ll need to do this yourself and when I approve your listing, I mark it as featured and your listing will always appear at the top of the category. There are a few in the directory already if you want to see what I mean. Remember to add as many relative keywords as you can to your listing (while still keeping it brief!). When a potential customer searches the directory for a certain word, you want your listing to come up.

INVOICING
You guys have been fantastic when it comes to payment of invoices. I’ve only had to chase up two advertisers which is good (better than chasing up all 30 of you!). There’s quite a few businesses that have expiring terms this month but I’ll be emailing you all individually to see whether you’d like to renew your term or cancel it.
Invoicing runs on a calendar month schedule (from the first to the last day of the month), not from when your invoice is paid or from when you initially contact me. If you request advertising after the 15th of the month, your advertising term will commence on the first day of the following month. If you request advertising on or before the 15th of the month, I can offer you a pro-rata rate for advertising that month or you can wait until the following month to commence your advertising. Reminders will always be sent close to the end of the month. If you still haven’t received an invoice but see your advertisement on the website, please let me know. If you have paid your invoice but don’t see your advertisement on the website, please let me know.

WEBSITE STATISTICS
Since the website began on the 6th March 2010, there have been 2,864 unique visitors. This doesn’t include repeat visitors, only people who are visiting for the first time. The number of visits overall since that date is 6,721! There has been plenty of interest in your advertisements and if you’d like to know how many clicks your ad has received since it was placed on the website, let me know. Unfortunately I can’t track clicks on the banner advertisements, just the sidebar ads. I’m still working on a way to figure this out but as yet, it’s not possible. If you would like to see a more detailed report on the traffic through the website received, please email me.

SHOUTOUTS
As a valued advertiser, you are entitled to regular shoutouts on the Facebook wall but in order for that to happen, you need to let me know what’s going on with your business! That can be either by posting it on the wall or emailing the details to me. Just be sure to abide by the rules (See the ‘Etiquette’ tab on the Facebook page).

ADDITIONAL ADVERTISING SPOTS
I’ve been considering opening up another 2-4 advertising places on the website but wanted to check with you all first that this was OK. Your ad is currently on a rotation basis meaning it’s never in the same spot for each visit to the website. They change places all the time to keep it fair for everyone. Let me know what you think of the additional places being made available.

IN THE SPOTLIGHT INTERVIEWS
The ‘In the Spotlight’ interviews are a part of your advertising package and I’ve received a couple back from some advertisers (thank you!) but I’d love to see more! The idea is you complete a series of questions in relation to you and your business and I then create a website post for your business and give your business a shoutout on the Facebook page when I link to your interview. I feel this gives people the chance to get to know you on a more personal level which hopefully will increase your sales!
Feel free to include any photos you want in your interview (max of 3) including your logo if possible (if not I’ll grab one from your website or Facebook page). Photos can be of you/you and your family or even random products from your business. Here’s your questions! Please get them back to me at your earliest convenience so I can get your interview up on the website!
You’ll find the questions online at http://www.supportawahp.com/2010/spotintques.html

I hope I’ve covered everything. If you have any questions, concerns, complaints or compliments, please feel free to email me!
Thank you all so much for your support. I look forward to doing more for you.
March 2010
Hello valued advertisers and welcome to the first Support a WAHP Advertiser Newsletter! I decided to create a newsletter as there is so much I need to let you know and I wanted to do it in one hit rather than an email here and there. It’s going to be a boring newsletter (no bells and whistles) as I don’t have the time to jazz it up just at the moment but hopefully the next one will be more visually appealing! So, here goes!

INVOICING
A huge thank you to those of you who have paid your invoice already but there are a few still outstanding. I won’t list these here but instead will email them direct closer to the end of the month. Also, if you paid for one month advertising, your term is up on the 31st March so if you would like to renew your term, please email me and let me know how long you’d like to renew for (another one month term is perfectly acceptable). If you received the last month for free as part of a promotion and would like to renew your advertisement, please let me know and I will arrange an invoice.

WEBSITE STATISTICS
Since the new website began on the 6th March 2010, there have been 476 unique visitors. This doesn’t include repeat visitors, only people who are visiting for the first time. The number of visits overall is in the thousands! I can tell you your advertisements are being noticed as every single one has had a few clicks (unless you’ve all been clicking your own link repeatedly!?!). If you would like to see a more detailed report on the traffic through the website or the number of clicks your advertisement has received, email me.

IN THE SPOTLIGHT INTERVIEWS
The ‘In the Spotlight’ interviews are a part of your advertising package and to be honest, I’ve really been looking forward to doing these! The idea is you complete a series of questions (below) in relation to you and your business and I then create a blog post for your business on the blog and give your business a shoutout on the Facebook page when I link to your interview. I feel this gives people the chance to get to know you on a more personal level which hopefully will increase your sales!
Feel free to include any photos you want in your blog post including your logo if possible (if not I’ll grab one from your website or Facebook page). Photos can be of you/you and your family or even random products from your business. I’d like to include at least two photos in each blog post. Here’s your questions! Please get them back to me at your earliest convenience so I can get started!
Thank you for becoming a Support a WAHP advertiser. Tell us a little about the person behind the business?
And now a little about the business itself?
How did you come up with your business name?
What made you want to begin a WAH business and how did you get started?
What motivates you to keep your business going?
Do you have a current best-selling product or service?
How do you advertise your business and which methods have proven more successful?
How do you juggle your family and your WAH business? Any tips for other WAHPs?
And finally, what advice would you give to anyone wanting to start a WAH business?

Ok, I think I’ve mentioned everything I wanted to in this newsletter but there’s sure to be something I’ve forgotten (isn’t there always?). If you have any questions, concerns, complaints or compliments, please feel free to email me!
Thank you all so much for your support. I look forward to doing more for you.
Regards,
Manda
