What’s happening with Support a WAHP

I’ve decided since I have this fabulous avenue to blog with, I need to start using it so you’re going to see more blog posts from me in the future! I’ll be writing about everything from business to babies and all things in between, just to mix it up a bit. I hope you find my blog posts entertaining as well as educating. :)

So, what’s happening at Support a WAHP? Quite a lot actually! The first thing on the agenda is a very important event called the ‘Support a Mummy’s Wish’ Charity Auction. This is an online auction held on Facebook and hosted by Mummy’s Wish Inc and sponsored by Support a WAHP. The first auction of what we hope to be many is now underway!

The theme for the current auction is Father’s Day and there are many fantastic items up for grabs including two nights accommodation at Coolum Caprice in a superior two bedroom apartment for 4 people (valued at over $400!); a $100 voucher to spend at The Caxton – Char Grill and Terrace Bar Restaurant; some gorgeous jewellery from businesses like Zen Designs & GErMano Arts Handcrafted Jewellery; several photography packages; a dozen Father’s Day cupcakes to the value of $25 from Big Cake, little cake and heaps more! You can show your support for this cause by visiting the Support a Mummy’s Wish’ Charity Auction Facebook page and bidding in the auction which will be running until 12pm Saturday 28th August or by helping us to spread the word.

The next project for Support a WAHP is WAHP Market – a new market concept born to support home-based & internet-based businesses from Regional Queensland! This provides people who work from home an avenue to showcase their products and/or services they would only be able to otherwise offer online. WAHP Market is run by Christine Wilson of Mackay Babies & Kids Market and myself and our inaugural market is going to be held in Mackay on the 6th November 2010 (two weeks before I’m due to give birth to #3!). I really can’t wait for this market. We already have a number of confirmed stall holders and we’re yet to advertise!

And last, but not the least by any means, is the WAHP Convention 2011 hosted by the lovely Amanda of Foyster’s Communications, Tanya & Amanda from Ipswich Event Services and Support a WAHP. This event is only in it’s early stages yet but  is set to be HUGE! I think that’s everything. I’ll be sure to mention all new projects as they come to hand but for now, this should keep me busy!
