What is an ‘In the Spotlight‘ interview? An interview is a great way to get to know someone better and our interviews concentrate on the people behind the business and of course, the business itself. It gives readers a little peek into the lives of other WAHPs and helps us to understand what goes into running their WAH business. You can pick up heaps of business and lifestyle tips by reading our interviews and when you have one published on the site, you can share the link with all of your friends to gain more recognition for what you do!

How can I get an interview? There are a couple of ways you can get an ‘In the Spotlight’ interview. One is by becoming a Business of the Month paid advertiser on the Support a WAHP website. Please see our Advertise page for details. Otherwise, you can enter the ‘In the Spotlight’ Competition.

Where does my interview go? Once published on our website, your interview remains there permanently under the ‘In the Spotlight’ category which can be accessed from the ‘In the Spotlight’ link in the navigation bar (the links at the top of the page). Initially, your interview will be seen on the main page for a period of time which is the first page visitors see when entering our site (great exposure for your business). You also will get a ‘shoutout’ on our Facebook page that links direct to your interview via networked blogs. This is broadcast to our rapidly growing fan base.

How long before my interview is published? Once full payment has been received (not applicable for competition or prize interviews), and you’ve submitted your answers, please allow at least 1-2 weeks for your interview to appear on our website.

How do I know when my interview has been published? Once your interview goes ‘live’, you will be alerted via your Facebook page (if applicable) through a link from the Support a WAHP Facebook page or via email.

What can an interview do for my business? Our website receives more than 6000 visits a month and your interview, once published on our website, would remain on the front page (the first page people see when entering our site) for approximately 3 to 4 weeks along with the other Spotlight interviews. In addition to this exposure, your interview will also receive a mention on our Facebook page which has thousands of members.

Where do I find the interview questions? You’ll find all the interview questions here. Remember, only complete the interview if you are a paid advertiser or competition winner.

How does the ‘In the Spotlight’ competition work? Every Sunday* we’ll be using random.org to choose FIVE businesses from the Competition List on our website. These businesses will then be added to a poll on the Support a WAHP website for people to vote on the business they’d most like to see ‘In the Spotlight’.

*There are some weeks where we may be unable to run the comp (eg. due to illness or holidays) but we’ll endeavour to let you know via Facebook if that’s the case.
